Beautiful Maddie,

There aren’t the words to describe how incredibly painful this feels, but I have found a small amount of comfort looking back at the photos of us from the years and revisiting old memories. 25 years of friendship means I’ve been lucky enough to know you and grow with you through so many stages of our lives. You were my very first friend at primary school and you never did let me forget the time I lost you on the stairs. So many first times experienced together; first sleepover, first sports day, first gig, first day at big school, first time living away from home. I always thought you would be right there, bringing me down to earth with your straight talking and sense of humour. I can hear your laugh now. You knew every secret of mine and kept all your promises, you were a beautiful friend and I will miss you for the rest of time. I hope you know how loved you were and how much light you bought into our lives. 🩷
